Be present

IMG_1358

I have to admit: when I’m not in my very best state of mind, I tend to escape reality.

Sometimes this trick helps. But most of the times is a trap. A trap because I become a prisoner. A prisoner of my own thoughts. And I tend to take my thoughts way too seriously. I give them power over me, instead of freeing myself from them. And when I let my thoughts in control, they take control over me. And over my life.

And to make things worse, this is a repeating cycle. A cycle where I forget how to live. The real life. Here and Now. Here and now – where reality and life happens.
Luckily, I do have moments of clarity when I realise that I can change all these. When I understand that my thoughts don’t define me as a person. When I understand that I can regain the present moment. And the present moment is my life.
The present moment is your life as well.
The present moment is where all the beauty of life lives in. The present moment is where all the magic and all the joy of being lies in. The present moment is where the breath you just took, is the best thing that happened to you. The present moment is where the secret of life lives in. The present moment is where you learn how to be.
Just be. Present. The present moment is where you discover the true, authentic you.
Acknowledging the present moment means freedom. You free yourself from the past and you free yourself from the future. You free yourself from all the fears. You free yourself from “what if”. You free yourself from what you thought you should be and you free yourself from what you were told that you have to be. You free yourself. You regain your life. You regain you. You regain your gift. Acknowledging our present moment gives us a new meaning and a new sense of what life is. Regaining the present moment empowers us to find the pure essence of life.
Our present is our gift.
My dear reader, please don’t waste your gift. Don’t waste your moment. The moment, THIS moment is all we got. Live now. In the moment. In your precious present moment.

Love,
